Once again the Academy looks quality. Points to note: 1) No Naarwich player in sight, 2) All but three (including Crowe) are from the Premiership (plus one "unattached"). COYYB! ("Young").

Two things happen at about the same time.
1). Our young home-grown right-back gets into the England u-17 squad,
2) we sign a young right-back from Ireland.

Seem to remember we had a decent 17 yr old right back who had his debut up against George Best. The difference is Bobby Robson had faith in his youngsters. If they were good enough he played them in the first Team. Just as he sets his Teams up not to lose rather than win, unfortunately MM has the same barrier when it comes to blooding the youngsters. OK we've seen the likes of Nydam and Downes this season, but how close would they have been if Bishop, Huws and Adeyami had been fit?
