Former Town goalkeeper Craig Forrest has been released by West Ham. The Canadian joined the Hammers from Town back in the summer of 1997 for £500,000. This season has seen Forrest recuperating after an operation for testicular cancer.

Manager Glenn Roeder, who also released Shaka Hislop, Steve Potts, Paul Kitson, Omer Riza and Michael Ferrante, says Forrest has decisions to make: "Craig has got to decide what his future has got to be, and the only thing that concerns us now is that he has got over his illness and has a full and healthy life - which I am sure he will continue to do.

"We are waiting to hear from the specialists, but Craig has got to make the decision whether to carry on or not to - and only he can make that decision."

Forrest, 34, made 38 appearances for West Ham, 34 starts and four as sub.
