Wednesday, 15th May 2002 10:45
Town supporters are the joint most intelligent in the 2001/02 Premiership according to the results of the BBC's Test the Nation experiment. Test the Nation took place last weekend and was the largest mass participation national IQ test in UK history.
Of Premiership football supporters taking part Town and Derby fans were top of the table, obtaining an average IQ of 114.
However, York City supporters were the brightest overall with 121 while fans of Clyde in Scotland were the most lacking in brains, amassing an IQ of merely 99, equal to that of a grey squirrel.
