U23s Defeated at Burnley
Monday, 21st Aug 2017 15:28

Town’s U23s side fell to a 2-0 defeat to Burnley at their Barnfield Training Centre this afternoon.

Luke Hyam, who is continuing his comeback after his knee injury, was the only senior player involved for Gerard Nash's side and played 68 minutes as had been planned in advance.

Other than James Blanchfield, also on the way back from injury, and keeper Harry Wright the rest of the side was made up of first and second-year scholars.

Dan Agyei, who was linked with a loan move to Town in January, and Olatunde Bayode netted a goal in each half for the Premier League side.

U23s: Wright, Rohan, Clements, Hyam (Henry 68), Marshall, McGavin, Dobra, Ndaba, Lankester (Vega 72), Blanchfield, Cahill (Barley 68).

Of course Steve_ITFC_Sweden - Mick confirmed that at the press conference earlier.

Luke Hyam apparently asked to be included in this match - anyone know how he got on - play the 90 ? Be great to have him in the creche, sorry on the bench, Saturday.

Have added to the report, Hyam played 68 minutes. One more U23s game and he'll be ready for the first time, according to what Mick said last week.
