Town Media Man Ogle Joining Chelsea Saturday, 22nd Jul 2017 11:23 Town’s assistant media manager Jonathon Ogle is to join Chelsea’s digital team. Ogle, 27, started working for the Blues as their digital media editor in the summer of 2011 and since then has been the main presence on the club’s social media channels. His position at Chelsea will see him play a leading role on their official app and social media team. "I'll be leaving Ipswich with a heavy heart as I've really become attached to the club over the past six years,” he told TWTD. "The staff behind the scenes, the management team and the players have all been great to work with but an opportunity like this was something I couldn't turn down. "I'm excited to get started at Chelsea and I plan to take the skills I've learned at Town into my new role at Stamford Bridge.” Ogle’s final Town game before joining the Premier League champions will be the Brentford match at Portman Road on Saturday 19th August. The new fans’ panel which was due to be chaired by Ogle will continue as planned. He will be in charge of the first meeting on Wednesday along with club secretary Stuart Hayton, who will chair in future with another member of staff. Meanwhile, ex-Blues striker Daryl Murphy’s £2 million move to Nottingham Forest from Newcastle was confirmed last night. The 34-year-old Republic of Ireland international has signed a three-year deal at the City Ground.
