Blues Target Bodvarsson Set for Reading
Thursday, 13th Jul 2017 22:21

Town target Jon Dadi Bodvarsson is reportedly set to join Reading from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

According to the Wolverhampton Express and Star, Icelandic international Bodvarsson is closing in on a permanent move to the Royals.

The news is likely to come as a blow to the Blues with the 25-year-old understood to be top of Town’s wish-list as they look to bring in another striker with Brett Pitman closing in on a switch to Portsmouth.

Discussions regarding a proposed move to Portman Road had been ongoing, although were a long way off being close to a conclusion, with the Blues preferring to take Bodvarsson on loan for the season.

However, it now appears Town will now have to look elsewhere for their second striker signing of the summer.

Pitman is understood to have been at Pompey today to discuss personal terms and to undergo a medical ahead of his free transfer to the League One club.

"The news is likely to come as blow to the blues" Mick maybe but not the fans. Not too worried about this one but will probably come back and bite us on the ass. Now lets use that money that we have been trying to splash on some "linked" targets as well as the bit of money that we got from Pitman and get that double digit target man in. Hopefully the Taylor contract is still in the works. I liked him and could do with a solid experienced defender to help out

A permanent deal is best for everyone. Sadly, Evans is more interested in frees and loans. Couple of fees, but that will be recouped by a sale.

I believe there will be four further signings. Taylor and Cummings on frees, and two further loans (1 striker, 1 midfielder). Expect more of the same in the coming season.

Rumours have it that we may be in for Paddy MADDEN, anyone know anything about that?
