Town’s fixtures for the 2017/18 Championship campaign will be announced on Wednesday morning at 9am when they will be available on TWTD.

The new season starts over the weekend of Saturday 5th August with the first round of the Carabao Cup - in which Town face Luton at Kenilworth Road - during the following week.

The regular Championship campaign ends over the weekend of Saturday 5th May with the play-off final set for Saturday 26th May.

In a change to the usual scheduling the Championship play-off final will be the first of the three to be played to give an extra couple of days ahead of the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia.

Sam added 05:40 - Jun 21 Really need to get to 50 games this season. I have been to thirty one so 19 more games!! Die hard Ipswich fans probably don't think that's much but I'm only ten. Tell me if you think I'll do it.

Seasider added 15:37 - Jun 21 Yes I think you will Sam,even if you only go to home games;not sure if you have a season ticket. Good on you to go now,as football not as good as I was privileged to watch over the years. First time I went was to watch the then Champions play{yes ITFC} because I had a free ticket a workmate got from Roy Bailey who he played with at West Ham! I only went to see Stanley Matthews;but have hardly missed a home game since. Well Done.

Sam added 07:26 - Jun 22 Seasider, I do have a season ticket and am well Known in the family for being a super early riser!! You don't go to watch FC clacton, do you? Cause I go too when Town are away, my Dad is a sports reporter.
