I'm sure some People will find a way to make this negative news but I always like to see a game on sky for those fans who can't afford to go (I'm a season ticket holder so doesn't effect me)

1 from 1 in the league COYB

Good news all around.

You would hope the club would do the fair thing with the sky tv money gained and make this a Cat C game. Bit of common sense........ nah probably not.

I'm happy enough with that... it's a game I can't go to, but will now be able to see it, which I wouldn't have done had it not been moved for Sky.

BigHibbs just for you (I don't mean this)

Good news as I am from Singapore. I've been a town fan for more than 2 decades.

Despite paying more for my cable tv package (basic package covers EPL games only, add-on needed for championship games), they only cover about 2 to 3 championship live games per week. It is rare for them to show live Ipswich games, so I'm pretty happy about it.

I normally do not comment and I know there are many who have decided not to attend the home games this season. Fair statement due to the boring negative Football on display.

But for someone living so far away, it's such a pity. I would have attended the home games with my 2 boys if I live in England!

Up the town!

It is good news that we are being selected for SKY game, but it's not great for those like me who plan in advance and travel a distance. However, being on the same day with a slightly later kick off isn't really an issue.

I recommend watching the coverage of the local derby in black and white, thereby avoiding the sight of that billious budgie yellow and green.

Come on you Blue Boys - ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Over at the Sky offices:

Employee 1: "Ipswich won their first game 4-2."
Employee 2: "And Forest won their first game 4-3."
Employee 1: "F*ck it. Let's fling it on the box and hope for the best."

Destined to be 0-0.

Currie10. We no longer have categorised games. Every game costs the same. But yes, maybe they could reduce the tickets by a few quid. Tho not really fair for season ticket holders. And wont happen becaise whats the point of getting in the extra revenue from the game being televised then losing it?

Does this mean the club gets the sky money or at least a more sizeable chunk. If so it'll make sense to to lower admission prices, bums on seats a bit more money, better atmosphere and a better chance of a result working in our favour. Then happy days. Was reading in the east Anglian daily times that we are staying in cat b. If so hopefully Evans will free more funds for squad investment. Am I getting carried away?

Good news for me as Sky Championship games are live on Bein Sports Channel which also means it will be mid day here and most Sports bars will be showing as long as it doesn't clash with EPL or College Football !!

I hear that Sky have their Golf camera crews ready for the Ipswich games now. They're used to following the ball high through the air. lol
Only joking, I think our new line up has great potential. With Ward happy to shoot at every sight of goal and Grant also showing signs of a class midfielder things are starting to look brighter. Let's hope for some great tv displays from the boys in blue.

Prefer having a 5.30 game on Sky rather than a lunch time game. Always makes for a better atmosphere. Shame Reading away is on a Friday night like last season though!
