Henshall Leaves Town
Monday, 1st Feb 2016 16:02

Winger Alex Henshall has left the Blues by mutual consent.

The 21-year-old made one Capital One Cup start and four Championship sub appearances having joined the Blues on a two-year deal from Manchester City in the summer of 2014 after a loan spell at the end of the 2013/14 season.

The former Swindon youngster, who we understand was interesting the MK Dons and Millwall in the summer and had a spell on loan at Blackpool last season, hasn’t featured this term and was made available for transfer in the close season.

His trouble was he could not kick the ball high enough in the air. Yet another player totally f--ked about by this apology of a manager

As I said the other day 'once your out on loan you'll soon be on your own' - and it runs true once again.
Another player we didn't really see that much of after one or two brief appearances.
All the best fella where ever you end up.

MM is a joke. He signs a raft of players who within a season disappear. Paper thin squad. That Messi..he's no better than what I've got. God the apology for a manager. Stuck in dark ages. Out out out

From what I saw of him and Cameron for that matter in U21 games, both had pace but no end product, both lightweight and lacking real game nous. Give me that Kyle Bennett of Portsmouth any day, lightweight but with real game awareness.

Good luck Alan in whatever you do in the future....

Have any of you ever thought that nobody wants to come and play at Town, while MM is there?
His style of play and man management seams to scare the younger players away ,mb they don't like being told they arn't working hard enough ,or they think they should be in the team without putting in the effort?
Either way as some comments have said we seem to be down to the bare minimum now ,2 loan signings that can fit into the team straight away, yes please I hear you say, but please don't get a couple of likely lads who are going to warm the bench until May.
The ever present ride on the rollercoaster as a Ipswich Town fan continues..

Been on the transfer list since the start of the season and have been unable to get a fee for him. That tells its own story.

The fact that we have cancelled his contract by mutual consent strengthens my belief that MM is under orders to reduce the squad and hence the wage bill. Is this to be able to get some loan signings in when that window opens?

With AMN and Fraser with the possibility of one or two others we are heading back to the days of Paul Jewell. Where are the academy youngsters? Is Kennedy the right man for bringing them on?
