Ticket Promotion for Preston, Pompey All-Ticket
Tuesday, 5th Jan 2016 19:24

Town are holding a ticket promotion at the home game against Preston North End on Saturday 16th January, while this weekend's FA Cup tie against Portsmouth is an all-ticket match with no tickets on the turnstiles.

Season ticket holders can buy up to four additional tickets for the Preston game at £10 for adults, £8 for concessions and £3 for under-16 either online from ITFC Direct or in Planet Blue before 1.30pm on the day of the game.

Meanwhile, Saturday’s third round FA Cup tie against League Two Pompey is an all-ticket match with no tickets available on the turnstiles.

Home fans can buy tickets in Planet Blue on Portman Road until 1.30pm on the day of the game if they have bought tickets from the club over the last 10 years or from ITFC Direct using the print-at-home option up until kick-off.

The game isn’t covered by season ticket cards with paper tickets having been issued to all those who have bought seats for the game.

Tickets for Saturday’s game are £15 for adults, £10 for concessions and £3 under-16s throughout the ground. Portsmouth have sold their allocation of 2,500 tickets.

Appreciate that you might not know how many are travelling until the day, but tickets are available in Planet Blue until 1.30pm and online until kick-off.

This game is slightly different to normal as the clubs have tried to keep prices low by reducing police costs, which I assume is why it is all-ticket.

sibelius8.What a whinger you are. You would have to buy the train tickets in advance to get a discount, but wont know until sat morning who is coming and might waste money? What a load of crap. The simple answer is to find out who is free and wants to come, anyone who cant commit then don't buy a ticket. If people want to come they would commit to that day well in advance but if they are not bothered then they wouldn't. I am glad you and your bunch of negative whinger friends wont be coming.

I occasionally have to call the club as we upgrade a child ST to an adult sometimes. My experience of both online and telephone has been fine. The Cup game I had a problem with email. A call and a day later three printed tickets in the post.
I am quite sure that a large group travelling up from Surrey or wherever would easily be able to get to the ground by 1.30 and buy accordingly. That's true of course unless they aren't really Town fans!
The days of walk up and pay are limited if not gone - the hooliganism of the 70/80's killed it off.
