Magilton to Start for NI

Jim Magilton is definitely back in favour with the Northern Irish management. The Town midfield man has been named in the side to meet Luxembourg tonight. Magilton will be winning his fortieth cap. Side: Northern Ireland (4-4-2): Carroll, Nolan, Williams, Griffin, A Hughes, Gillespie, Lomas (c), Magilton, Johnson, Healy and Quinn. Subs: Taylor, McGibbon, Murdock, Sonner, M Hughes, Coote, Robinson.

Meanwhile Richard Wright is not in the side for tonight's friendly with Argentina, but he has had praise heaped upon him by England manager Kevin Keegan. Keegan has said that Wright has established himself as England's third choice keeper which seems to suggest that he will find himself in the squad for Euro 2000.

Former team-mate Kieron Dyer is in the side for tonight's game, playing wing-back.

Injury victims Mark Venus and Manu Thetis are both on the road to recovery and may be in contention for Sunday's game with Birmingham. Marcus Stewart is OK after his virus and will start at St Andrew's.
