Some Cobbold Season Ticket Holders to Relocate for Pompey
Monday, 14th Dec 2015 21:05

Town have announced that some season ticket holders in the Cobbold Stand will be unable to use their regular seat for the FA Cup third round tie against Portsmouth on Saturday 9th January with Pompey taking an allocation of 2,500 tickets.

Under competition rules, away clubs are entitled to up to 15 per cent of a ground’s capacity, more than the allocation given to opposition sides for Championship games at Portman Road.

As a result, season ticket holders in Blocks A, B, C and E of the upper tier, and T, T2, U and U2 of the lower tier have to relocate but will be given priority over other home fans when purchasing alternative seats. Town will be contacting all affected season ticket holders. Season ticket holders in Blocks D and EA of the Cobbold Stand will be able to sit in their usual seats.

Unaffected season ticket holders will have their regular seats reserved for purchase until 9am on Wednesday 23rd December when those that remain unsold will be released for general sale. The full priority scheme for the game and further information can be found on the club site here.

Season ticket holders on the pre-payment cup scheme who are not affected by the Cobbold Stand move will have their ticket automatically sold and payment taken from Tuesday 15th December.

All supporters in non-corporate areas, including season ticket holders, will receive a paper match ticket for this match in order to gain access on the day.

Ticket prices for the game are £15 for adults, £10 for concessions (seniors 60+/students/under-20s) and £3 for juniors (under-16s).

Anyone remember how many Gillingham brought in the League Cup in the late 90's. They had the whole stand I think?

Where is Block EA? It's not on the seating plan.
