Chambers in Team of the Week
Monday, 14th Dec 2015 16:55

Town skipper Luke Chambers has been named in the Sky Bet Football League Team of the Week for his performance during the 1-0 win away against the MK Dons on Saturday.

Chambers, 30, sent over the cross from which Brett Pitman nodded home the winner and was part of an excellent defensive performance by the Blues as they recorded their third successive win on the road.

Also in the Football League’s select XI this week is one-time Town reserves midfielder Conor Hourihane, who is these days with Barnsley in League One.

Well done Chambo!! I'm really happy of this and keep it up. Great captain and doing a good job at the moment

Well done. He's noticeably in a back 3 not a back 4 though. That would be a team with 3 CDs and Mayor and Potter as overlapping full-backs.

He used to be in the team of the week a lot when he was a cd at Forrest.

A really good player and man, but not a right back. Gets taken out by most left wingers we play against far too regularly. We still need a real right back if we are intending to gun for promotion this year.

Well deserved, again MM decision to stick with Chambo is validated!
Ex Town player Hourihane is also in the team of the week! :)

An assist and a clean sheet, wouldn't mind seeing more of that!
