Oh, and if we spent 94 grand more, we'd still be less than Huddersfield, next place above us this year (AND less than Watford last year) :-)

In any other line of business the Agent gets paid by their Principal ie in this context the player. Why should football be any different? After all the players can hardly plead poverty...

Bolton pay nearly 1 Million on agents fees and can't pay their players. Sums it up really.

Might be a pig headed arse at times but how he has built a team to compete for pennies is admirable.. just makes those wasted years and finances under the dark lord and Jewell even more unbearable.

southnorfolkblue Not strictly correct. Agents as in Recruitment Agents, get paid by the organisation they are recruiting the individual for. And the fee usually amounts to several months salary, which in the case of a footballer is a considerable amount of money!

unbelievable! - jas0999 gets 15 down votes for his comment (which I was going to type something similar). Just goes to show once we start winning a few games then everything is rosy.

Agree to a point with JAS and TimmyH as we are down with the small fry when it comes to agents fees.
Presume the more expensive(and often better)player you buy,the more it is going to cost in agents fees(see Hull and Burnley above)
However cant afford these kind of fees and presume that if we make just one marquee signing in the Jan window then would have to pay a larger fee than in past.
I hope however that because of said fee Mr Evans doesn't decide not to proceed,as I feel that this could boost our chances of going up.
Didn't do it last year, and struggled in second half of season compared to before Christmas.
I know we have a larger and stronger squad now but wonder if it is good enough to compete with the 'big boys'in this division.
I used to think ITFC was one of the bigger clubs in this league years ago;but if agents fees are anything to go by Town are now amongst the minnows.

I don't think clubs should pay agents at all.
Players need agents to arrange all their deals and should get a cut of what the player gets, agents who demand millions for their player to sign for your club just seems like extortion to me
