Yorwerth and Crowe in Wales U21s
Friday, 21st Aug 2015 13:46

Defender Josh Yorwerth and keeper Michael Crowe have been named in the Wales U21s squad for their Euro 2017 qualifier in Luxembourg on Friday 4th September.

Yorwerth has previously won one U21 cap and, just as he did on his Town debut against Stevenage in the Capital One Cup last week, netted when making his Wales U21s bow in a 3-1 victory over Bulgaria in Cardiff in March. The 20-year-old has previously won caps at U17 and U19 levels.

Keeper Crowe, 19, has been called up to the U21s, who are coached by ex-Blue Geraint Williams, for the first time but also won caps with the U19s.

London-born, Norway-raised Crowe, whose father is English and mother Norwegian, qualifies for Wales through his grandmother.

Wales U21s: Billy O’Brien (Manchester City), Michael Crowe (Ipswich Town), Declan John (Cardiff City), Gethin Jones (Everton), Jordan Evans (Fulham), Joseph Wright (Huddersfield Town, on loan with Accrington Stanley), Dominic Smith (Shrewsbury Town), Josh Yorwerth (Ipswich Town), Josh Sheehan (Swansea City), Lee Evans (Wolverhampton Wanderers, on loan with Bradford City), Ryan Hedges (Swansea City), Tom O’Sullivan (Cardiff City), Wes Burns (Bristol City), Ellis Harrison (Bristol Rovers), Harry Wilson (Liverpool), Jake Charles (Huddersfield Town), Owain Jones (Swansea City), Louis Thompson (Norwich City).
