Southampton Tickets Still Selling Fast
Friday, 9th Jan 2015 16:38

Town currently have a handful of restricted view tickets plus up to a further 4,500 unclaimed season ticket seats - which will be released at 9am on Saturday - remaining available for Wednesday’s FA Cup third round replay against Southampton at Portman Road (KO 7.55pm).

Seats, which went on general sale this morning, can be purchased in person from Planet Blue between 9am and 11am on Saturday, but the club recommends fans buying online from ITFC Direct.

Full details and a guide to buying tickets can be found on the club site.

There are now no seats showing as available online although some show as available but not with the 'zoom' function - are these the restricted view seats or the season ticket seats? If so it's nothing near 4500. It will be amazing to see a full house - it's been way too long.

The 4,500 won't show up until they are available at 9am in the morning.

Anyone else have the timeout problem on the home tickets link?

Mine and my son's season ticket seats will be available come 9am tomorrow, as I can't go due to being away for work unfortunately. Gutted.

Why is it a 7.55 ok? Is it on the TV?

I've sussed it. The restricted view seats can be bought by automatically selecting the seats but you can't select them manually.

@ChestnutSe yes, it's on BBC 1

So is it as simple as taking 4500 off the capacity and working out the likely attendance currently stands at about 25000?

Surely there can't be 4500 season ticket holders that can't go Wednesday?

Timeout problems for me as well, haven't even managed to get to the seat selection page yet! Hopefully will have more luck tomorrow!

It's only restricted view on sale at the moment and you can't select them on the seat selection page. You're better off setting your alarm for 9am when the other tickets go on general sale and enjoy watching the game rather than part of the stand blocking your view.

RedDust added 18:08 - Jan 9
More importantly how many have we sold for the Derby game? Has anyone got a number on that???

How can we have sold 28,000 tickets as of yesterday when there are 4,500 to go on sale tomorrow? Perhaps Marcus has had another stand built this week!

Have Southampton sold out their allocation? How many were they given?

Chicago_Blue added 18:28 - Jan 9
RedDust - good question. We've got a MASSIVE league tomorrow and nobody seems to be talking about that! Far more important than the cup match. The lure of £10 tickets is too much perhaps. Come on, let's get a big crowd in tomorrow and start talking about the Southampton game come tomorrow afternoon.

I think what has happened is that season ticket holders have possible got extra tickets and bought an extra one for themselves too.
This is what I have done, as I will be bringing my son and his friends, so my seat will be available in the morning.
Not sure how many others have done the same.

If you need to buy tickets tomorrow wouldn't buy them from the club shop. As its an earlier kick off they will be dealing with the normal match day enquiries plus they wont be selling for long.

Online is by far better way got mine no problem through this

Apparently there are less than 40 restricted view seats available. Some people just don't want to wait until the morning!

At least nobody has moaned about 'fair weather supporters' this week. In an aisle seat in Co-op Upper Section P against Charlton, a season ticket holder was heard saying "Look at all this lot, I hope we lose tonight tonight so they don't bl**dy come again". Sir you know who you are and you are indeed a complete tool, in fact a very lonely sad tool as proven because nobody wanted to listen to you!
