Former Club Doctor Dies
Saturday, 3rd Jan 2015 16:29

Former Town doctor Paul Jackson died aged 83 on December 28th.

Jackson was one of two doctors working at the club between 1968 and 1984.

Recalling Dr Jackson Blues legend Kevin Beattie told TWTD: “We used to call him Jabber Jackson because he used to get the needles out and give us the injections.

“He’d always come in on a Monday and also travel with us to games. He was a lovely man, you wouldn’t know anyone better, he was smashing. Pass on my condolences to his family.”

RIP Jabber. There's a photo of him on the touchline in Leipzig after that penalty shootout, looking nearly as disconsolate as the manager and the players.
