Anderson Fit for Foxes Clash
Friday, 15th Nov 2013 09:13

Midfielder Paul Anderson is over his groin injury and says he’ll be available for selection when Town take on Leicester at Portman Road a week on Saturday, having missed the 3-2 win at Blackpool.

“The injury is okay now,” the 25-year-old told the club site. “I was trying to force myself back for the Blackpool game and trained a day earlier than I should have done and broke down.

“It’s been a niggly injury. It’s been not quite right and it was really annoying because I wanted to be involved at Blackpool.

“I’ve trained all week though and it’s been fine. I’ll definitely be okay for the Leicester game and hopefully I’ll be in the squad.”

The former Bristol City midfielder has gone the extra yard in the club’s Movember challenge by dyeing his moustache blue.

Town’s game against Leicester is a Kids for a Quid promotion. Full details on the club site.

Sorry to be negative, but will he get into the side now that Taylor, Nouble, Hunt et al are available and in form?

Maybe it's time Anderson was on the bench not really been that great so far

Nouble hasn't actually been given much o a chance yet though, he comes onfor the odd 20 minutes and is expected to do something. I'd start with the team that came out for the 2nd half at Blackpool.

In my world and many others, I'd start him on the bench as he's offered very little so far. I just think mick will go back to the usual negative approach though. Hope I'm wrong!

To put Anderson back in the starting line up after the second half display at Blackpool would be baffling.

He'll make the bench as Wordsworth and Hewitt are being loaned out but he hasn't done enough to warrant being in the starting xi especially when playing a 4-4-2, you need wingers to get forward and put crosses in the box but he might be more effective in a different system.

I like Anderson, but agreed that Taylor should be given a start!

Popeye anderson is generally a chalk on his boots winger who likes to get forward and put crosses in the box, but he has been asked to play a different role by mick to what he has been used to. He has been told to play narrower to make us more compact when defending. This could well be why people see him as being ineffective

Agree with Jimmy86 fully! He's always been a winger & hasn't been playing that role for us. We need to see him as an out & out winger before slagging him off! Great stuff from him with the facial hair & good boy dyeing it blue. Taylor defo needs to be playing more often now he's back with us after loan spell. More of the same as 2nd half @ Blackpool ta very much please & then hopefully we can f*ck teams up. Leicester will be very tough next week but really want to give them a right good spanking as hate 'em,especially that sh*t Nugent! COYB! Make some noise for the Tractor Boys!!
