Town’s game at Wigan Athletic, which was scheduled for Saturday 21st September in the fixture list which was released this morning, looks set to move to the following day.

The Latics qualified for the Europa League by winning last season’s FA Cup and are due to be in action in a group game on the preceding Thursday.

Nice one. Hopefully we'll get on tv a bit more this season as we were barely on it last season!

Good news! Most teams playing in Europa league struggle in their following fixtures. Lets hope they are away in eastern europe somewhere

Do we have to agree with the switch? I remember back in 2001 we played a UEFA Cup match on the Thursday, followed by Man Utd away on the Saturday (and lost the latter 4-0). Fergie said that he didn't want to switch our game to the Sunday because they were preparing for a Champions League game the following week. Guess the rules have changed since then.

Chicago - I'm not sure the rules have changed - it always was one rule for Fergie, another for everyone else.

Chicago... That was due to Sept 11th... We should have played the week before, but UEFA put the games back a week due to the air chaos and uncertainty following 9/11.

As for TV games, the less the better. They're a pain in the arse.

A few years ago I went to Wigan v Spurs on a Sunday, the trains were a nightmare just to get back to Manchester, so good luck with that fellas

Lets hope Wigan will be knackered for their league games like we were! Part of the reason we got relegated from the Prem as well, qualifying for Europe, as fun as it was

That doesn't mean we'll be on tv does it?

I actually read this wrong. Must have skim read it and presumed it was on tv!

The Manchester derby is scheduled for that weekend, so presuming that's on Sky, I guess it depends what time that's on as to whether we can hope for a TV game. Unless BT pick it.

BT don't cover championship sadly we have no chance of TV as its the 125th anniversary weekend and sky are only showing founder members etc... But we should be on telly more this year

We get money for each game that we are on tv right. So the more the better
