Reading Confirm Tabb's Release
Friday, 24th May 2013 13:41

Reading have confirmed that Blues loanee Jay Tabb has been released. The 29-year-old said earlier this week that he is hoping to sign a permanent contract with Town this summer.

Also released by the Royals are strikers Noel Hunt, who Town made an enquiry about in January and whose brother Stephen is a current Blues target having been released by Wolves, and Simon Church, who was linked with Town early in the season, as well as defenders Ian Harte - a player Roy Keane tried to bring to Portman Road - and Nicky Shorey.

Good player for us on loan, is he to be a first choice next season?

I'd definitely take Jay Tabb, Noel Hunt and Simon Church. No to Stephen Hunt and Nicky Shorey though.

Let's do business. Mr. Tabb sounds most willing...

If we do get Stephen and Noel Hunt we should also try for their cousin Mike Hunt

Mick was right when he said about a month or so ago " a lot of championship players would soon be looking for new clubs"

Nicky Shorey would make a good replacement for Cresswell.

Love the way all players that are getting released by clubs have been linked with us

Would like to see Harte, Church and Stephen Hunt brought in, Harte would be good cover at left back and left midfield as well as being a proper expert free kick and penalty taker. Also adds experience. Church has always seemed like a lively striker too.

I've always rated Harte and I agree with theresonlyonekeano in thinking that he would provide good cover on the left.
