N'Daw Would Welcome Longer Stay
Wednesday, 21st Nov 2012 12:37

Season-long loanee Guirane N’Daw says he’d be interested in joining the Blues on a full-time basis if the opportunity were to present itself. The midfielder’s St Etienne contract is up at the end of the campaign.

Speaking in an interview with Ipswich Player, in which new team-mate Kelly Youga translated, the 28-year-old said: “I used to watch English football on the TV when I was younger and it was always my ambition to come over here and play.

“It was an easy decision to come here to Ipswich when the opportunity came up. I want to play my football here. I think I have the physical abilities to do well in English football.

“I am at Ipswich for the season and my first importance is to fight for the club, fight to get Ipswich up the table.

“I want to take it step by step but yes, why not? If a chance came along to get a long-term contract here I would be happy. We will see.”

Having dropped out of the picture during the latter days of Paul Jewell’s management, N’Daw has become a regular since Mick McCarthy took over as boss.

I think N'Daw is one of those players who will give everything, perhaps its because of how strong the English leagues are and some players feel privelaged to come over here and play there football. I hope we can give him a contract, N'daw wil never get us many goals but if we can get a balanced team around him I think he would shine.

Vorrei parlare che Signor NDaw sia il giocatore piu magnifico nello squadro adesso. Big Mick, firmarli subito!

(Wrong language, sorry)

I to have not seen him live but reports are good and used rightly he could be a real asset to the club. Keep him on a short term contract i say, no more than two years.

To soon in my opinion if we want to sign him under contract, what I hear he's done ok in the games he's played but let's not get fooled we've been down this road before but on loan for the whole season will give us a better indication to what he can give us, unlike senuors Bullard and co.

Big strong boy who can play a bit, but I agree with TimmyH, lets not all start making out he's Eden Hazard!

We've been near the bottom or bottom of the laegue most of the season remember.

Lets see how he picks up for the rest of the season.

As long as he understands that DJ Campbell scores with his hands, that's all that matters.

Both Ndaw and Campbell have said they would like to stay on and play for town if possible and this tells me that at least two of the loan players will be trying their hardest and playing with a bit of pride thats more then can said of some of the others who are just here to get paid until they can get back to their own clubs
If town sign loan players who would like to play for us proper when the transfer market open then fair enough but the others are a waste of time.

Decent signing at our level - especially our current level! Tough and seemingly committed. Faites-le, Mick!

I think we just found the real reason Youga was signed - in the long term he can play, in the short term we just need someone to explain to N'Daw what the hell is going on

Are you serious, ipswichlegend? Your bizarre reasoning is mesmerising in its imbecility and narrow-mindedness. If you like, I could translate that into German to benefit your linguistic deficiencies.

Bluetone, you've hit the nail on the head.

N'Daw could well be extremely important for us.
