Academy First Year Wins Cap Wednesday, 3rd Oct 2012 16:48 Academy first-year scholar Cory Galvin came on as a sub for the Republic of Ireland U17s yesterday as they beat hosts Macedonia 4-1 in the second game in their European Championships qualifying group. Striker Galvin had previously come off the bench in the 1-1 draw with Sweden on Saturday. The Irish youngsters, who are in a good position to qualify for the next stage of qualifying, complete their fixtures with a match against Romania on Thursday. Meanwhile, Town’s U21 game at Colchester which was postponed earlier in the week will now be played on Monday, February 4th 2013 (KO 7pm).
