Luongo Back for Town
Wednesday, 19th Sep 2012 19:01

Town boss Paul Jewell has made one change to his line-up for tonight’s game against Wolves at Portman Road with Massimo Luongo replacing Andy Drury in midfield.

Full-back Joe Whight replaces Ronan Murray on the bench, despite the Irishman’s suspension for his red card in the U21s only applying to non-first team games. Full match preview here.

Town: Loach, Edwards, Chambers, Smith, Cresswell, N'Daw, Luongo, Martin, Taylor, Murphy, Chopra. Subs: Lee-Barrett, Ainsley, Whight, Hyam, Drury, Emmanuel-Thomas, Scotland.

Wolves: Ikeme, Stearman, Ward, Johnson, Berra, Boukari, Henry, Edwards, Sako, Sigurdarson, Doyle. Subs: De Vries, Peszko, Ebanks-Blake, Hunt, Doumbia, Foley, Magreitter.

Hyam should be playing . There is justification for playing a loan player in his place , just one of many reasons supporters dislike jewel.

Yep Hyam picks up a slight hamstring injury and has to wait forever to get back in the starting 11 - Jewell obviously doesn't like him.

Jeez Wolves are strong, didn't realise quite how strong they are. Tough game tonight but you never know with us, literally could go either way. Having said that, i'm going for an encouraging performance and 1-1 draw (coming from behind).

N'Daw is an international player and at the moment, exactly what we need in misfield especially against Wolves who are very physical.

Hyam & Loungo are too lightweight together and Hyam will get his chance again, but N'Daw is a better player

When will people realise that Hyam is NOT the answer to our current problems and getting rid of Jewell wont help either.
The side needs a blend of youth and experience and playing TWO inexperienced kids in the centre of midfield is NOT the answer. Loungo is way ahead of Hyam with regards holding and passing the ball and N'Daw is a very experienced head which will only help Loungo

all we do is say jewell clegg out and moan about the team but for the last 10 years we have been team re building we want answers not relegation battles every year because like it or not with 40 games to go were in one again already, since clegg and m evans all we get is the same old story and to take players in give them a medical which cost and then try to get them to sign a contract explains it all appauled by the state of the team,i will support ipswich forever but am sick of the boring reputation we have and uncertainty

I am the same l12rdp, I know it's early days, but I am at a loss with ITFC right now- Although I was hoping for a draw tonight, I am now simply not sure how to put into words what im seeing at PR right now.

13 goals conceeded so far is really a shot to the pride, I am not one who thinks we should get promoted every year, but I want to see improvement and drive to get the stadium fuller and the atmosphere buzzing a little again; but it's just not fun sitting in the stands at PR any more :(

Ill put it into words for everyone - ITs A DISGRACE!
Time we as town fans had some back bone like collectives up north!

As of now, and this is the first time I've said this...

Jewell, Hutchings, Clegg and Evans - OUT! The whole lot!
That has to come from us! Sweep the decks of this Litter..

Put the club up for sale, now! I don't want you anywhere near portman road Evans.

Anyone prepared to protest yet?

for the 1st time, I am leaning toward it is time for Jeweel to go, I have been an adovcate of him since he arrived, but something clearly does not work, and I also don't have an answer as to who would make it work right now, appears to be a total mentaility issue on the field of play

270+ minutes without a first half goal this season!! - Jewell really is on thin ice after this result, I thought they might pull a result out tonight...

Something's got to give sooner rather than later...thank God it's still only september and we've still got plenty of time to put this mess right..

The major problem is that we have an owner who doesn't seem to know his arse from his elbow and I for one don't trust him or his clown of a chief exec to put the right man in charge when Jewell finally gets the push..which should be soon hopefully.

Apologies to all Jewell fans out there but like the Keane fans before you , it's time to pull your heads out of the sand and see how far we've fallen.

Time to resign Jewell, I'm not one to abuse managers but we're turning into a laughing stock. I was keeping updates on the game tonight and rightly or wrongly as it was 0-0 I just had no feeling that we were going to win the game or even score, I had no confidence in us getting back in it. We need someone who can motivate these players, MIck McCarthy would be perfect. I'm not sure Jewell will get sacked as ME and him seem to buddy. I can see a kind of Steve Kean scenario happening, We are going nowhere with Jewell in charge, and please for your own dignity save us the drivel post match, we dont constantly want talk we want action.

No defenders about according to Jewell, yet Palace sign Danny Gabbidon on Free Transfer today, experienced premiership defender yes his 33, but he has to be better than what we got currently.
