Edu Reported to Have Headed South for Talks Saturday, 11th Aug 2012 18:06
Rangers midfielder Maurice Edu is south of the border holding talks with the Blues, according to a report from Scotland this afternoon. The US international midfielder is set to leave the Glasgow giants, who drew their first Scottish Third Division game 2-2 at Peterhead earlier today, with news of Town's interest emerging yesterday.
Having told manager Ally McCoist that he won’t be transferring his contract to the Rangers newco, Edu wasn’t involved at Balmoor with claims that he has travelled south to speak to the Blues.
While talks may well have taken place at some point today, manager Paul Jewell was spotted at Watford's Capital One Cup tie against Wycombe, presumably keeping an eye on the Hornets ahead of the Blues’ first away game of the new season at Vicarage Road a week on Tuesday. The Championship side won 1-0 after extra-time.

I really hope this is true. Edu is a classy player and could possibly be a contender for player of the season if he plays like he did in Scotland (Fingers crossed). Loving the new design btw! Looks good! COYB!
Wowee there some amazing comments coming here oh by these I pray that we get him as he seems to be awesome please please get him PJ ,clegg and ME please!!!
the ship is turning if we pull this off then its a great signing you dont play for rangers for nothing i know we mock scottish football but there in the top 2,no matter whats happened, early summer i saw a season of woe as everyones chucking money around but i think were prob mid to top 10 now but not to worry in 2 seasons when the financial sancations come in we will be ahead of most so then thats when we will benefit greatly if we dont arrive in the premiership before this
phil. being tecnically ungifted and old lol, i like the new web site but can no longer get it on my phone, is it just me or anyone else have this problem
Billlm. I've been accessing TWTD on my phone and it has been working fine. However, sometimes when I attempt to log in the 'log in page' doesn't load. Apart from that I'm loving the new look, very professional.
Could be a good signing but lets not get carried away. Some of the comments are making out he's Ronaldo or Messi. Lets not forget Spl isnt that greatest league in the world, and that most footballers can look amazing from a short 2 minute youtube clip. However, i would like to see us sign him as i think he offers something different.
He's hardly going to be heading north! Nice if it was us but somehow doubt it. PJ has taken too long to sort out defence so hope he has loanee in mind as we'll need one.
