Town have announced the ticket prices for the season’s opening game, the Capital One Cup first round tie against Bristol Rovers at Portman Road on Tuesday 14th August (KO 7.45pm). Adult tickets will cost £12 with concessions at £8 and under-16s gaining entry for £1.

Tickets purchased on the day of the match will be subject to a further charge of £2. The full arrangements for ticket sales will be announced next week.

Meanwhile, Watford keeper Scott Loach and free agent former Cardiff glovesman Tom Heaton are both reported to have said they’ve received no contact from the Blues.

Town are understood to have made an enquiry to Watford regarding former Blues academy schoolboy Loach, but wouldn’t be able to speak to the player directly unless given permission by the Hornets.

Heaton, who is believed to be a Watford target this summer, is not thought to be on Paul Jewell’s list of potential new Town keepers.

Bergholtblue - In your email replace all words containing "football" or "Ipswich" and replace them with "Guam" or "Olympics"

Sure Clegg will read it then!

Well done the club for the reduction, hopefully as its the first competitive game we will get a slightly bigger crowd than we would have done and this concession will help.

I also commend the club for keeping the Ko for 7:45.

I always think town play so much better under the lights of PR, and theres somthing special about a night game at PR.

Yeah what about ITFC 5 West Ham 1? Or the Birmingham game were I think for 20 mins in the second half we played our best football of the season.

Or even the 2-5 reverse vs Southampton or the 4-0 drubbing at Burnley..........where we played the worst football of our season for 90 minutes.

That's £14 for me and my two U16s, very reasonable.

A special price for season ticket holders would have been nice...say, £8?
