Town Looking For Local Charities
Town Looking For Local Charities
Tuesday, 15th May 2012 15:49

Town are looking for locally-based charities to become one of their nominated charities for the 2012/13 season. Each year, the Blues select two local charities to support in addition to their partner charity, the ITFC Charitable Trust.

Those chosen will receive ongoing support from Town throughout the season, including a share of the Blues’ FA Community Shield distribution, signed memorabilia and members of the squad attending one of the charity’s events.

Previous nominated charities have included Cancer Campaign in Suffolk, Genesis Orwell Mencap, NORCAS and the East Anglian Air Ambulance, in addition to local hospitals and hospices.

Chief executive Simon Clegg said: “Ipswich Town is committed to helping raise the profile of our nominated charities, as well as much needed funds, lending them the stature of the club to achieve the maximum possible benefit during their tenure as a Club Charity.”

To request more information or an application form, please contact Jade Cole, Town’s press and PR officer, by email or by post: Ipswich Town Football Club, Portman Road, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP1 2DA.

Charities must be based and registered in the East Anglia region and should not be locally-based branches of national charities. Completed applications must be received by Town by Friday 22nd June.

Phil, I'm assuming 'local' in this context would probably be Suffolk?
