Harford Set for MK Dons
Harford Set for MK Dons
Wednesday, 9th May 2012 23:30

Former England striker Mick Harford is being lined-up to join the MK Dons as assistant to manager Karl Robinson this summer. Last month, Blues boss Paul Jewell said he was hoping to add Harford to his scouting staff full-time, the 53-year-old having worked part-time for Town during the latter part of the season.

Harford is set to succeed former Blues coach and assistant manager John Gorman at stadium:mk, the Scot having announced his retirement earlier this month.

So one minute Ward and Harford are very keen to sign and close to signing, then 2 months later they still have not signed.

How long does it take to sort out these contracts.

Scotland and Smith are close to signing so does that mean they are on their way too

Thank you ITFC Forever. Sensible comment amongst a sea of people who just want to run down the happenings at the club. Sometimes wonder if they are sitting in yellow and green rooms with yellow birds in cages writing what they do.

Didn't Karl Robinson say on late kick off he was promoting from within?

Why not kick PJ out, and get Karl Robinson in. Then Mick won't have to clear his desk.

None of this sends out a good message from PR.

cant blame him for taking a coaching position over a scouting job

Mick Harford played for Wimbledon towards the end of his career and was offered a better job at MK Dons. Disapointed we diddnt get him as he has some great contacts.
Best of luck to him.

Assistant manager is of course a better position. However, it does seem that people don't last 5 mins down at PR..what was the name of the last fella..someone King??

andygizmo - sad comment, just keep coughing up and keep your comments to yourself. One of the 'always satisfied brigade' obviously.

Can understand him taking the role of assistant manager, it's a higher status and probably more lucrative than we could offer for the role we have.
Just happening so soon after Andy King leaving under similar circumastances, I hope it's another coincidence and not deeper problems within PR.
