Season Ticket Prices Frozen
Season Ticket Prices Frozen
Thursday, 23rd Feb 2012 08:59

Town have announced that season ticket prices will remain the same for the 2012/13 season. It’s the fifth time in six seasons that prices have been frozen, only last year seeing a rise of 6%.

That means an adult seat in the lower tier of the Sir Bobby Robson Stand or South Stand purchased prior to the early bird deadline will cost £390. Existing season ticket holders will be sent full details from the week commencing 5th March along with a letter from Town owner Marcus Evans.

Chief executive Simon Clegg said: "I recognise that the purchase of a season ticket is perhaps a bigger commitment now than ever before, given the testing financial situation we are in so we have decided not to increase prices for 2012/13, despite pressures to do so to meet our own rising costs.

"We have also extended our interest free payment scheme from eight months to 12 months and maintained the 50% Premiership Cashback offer.

"In addition we have listened to our fans who wanted to see an U20 price category introduced in Sir Bobby Robson Stand lower and acted on that and supporters can also now renew their season tickets online as well as by the traditional means.

"Season ticket holders provide the foundation for any football club. Their support is greatly appreciated and never taken for granted."

Er why's that CLOUD? If you mean because some of them come on here and whine then you should remember its only a very small number that do that. Most people who come onto this site are positive in the main. The prices should be frozen and i think the fans at matches have been very good this season, mainly because most of us realised at the start of the season (even after the win at Bristol) that this was going to be a transitional year and we needed to give PJ time.

Yet again, in these difficult times, he has overlooked petrol money and free pies.

Of course petermorris, how bad of Clegg not to offer petrol money or free pies.

At last, the club is listening and acting. Season ticket cost spread over the year is an excellent move. Mind you, should have done it years ago rather than be dragged kickin and screaming to make a change.

Yeah, Clegg...why not throw in a free chauffeur. Jimmy Bullard's got one, why can't season ticket holders get one too!

Good move. Hopefully the extended interest free period will help keep those who were questoning if it was affordable next year but as importantly act as an incentive to those who simply couldn't stretch to it this. Everyone knows money's getting tighter everyones costs are rising so I think the whole package is a reasonable solution.
Mind you a successful run up to the end of the season will also provide perhaps the biggest incentive to buy season tickets

What? No free foot massage from ME for every supporter who crawls to the games from Exeter - Clegg you're out of touch with the real fans! C.O.

Good move by the club, although I see there are still a few glass half empty types on here!

This obviously will mean gate prices will not be lowered then.
Any news on a discount on the following season if we are promoted?
