Hyam in Town Side at Hull
Hyam in Town Side at Hull
Saturday, 7th Jan 2012 14:45

Midfielder Luke Hyam is back in the Town side for the first time since the Carling Cup tie against Northampton in August and for only the second time under Paul Jewell’s management. Ibrahima Sonko, Nathan Ellington and Josh Carson are also back in the XI.

Jimmy Bullard misses out against old club due to the flu bug which kept him out of the Nottingham Forest defeat on Monday, while Lee Martin drops to a seven-man bench, which also includes Michael Chopra. Joe Whight and Tommy Smith and Jason Scotland.

Hull give a start to on-loan Arsenal keeper Vito Mannone, while defender Liam Cooper plays his first game of the season. Paul McShane, Joe Dudgeon, Richard Garcia, Tom Cairney and Robbie Brady are all back in Nicky Barmby’s side. Full match preview here.

Town: Lee-Barrett, Edwards, Delaney, Sonko, Cresswell, Carson, Leadbitter, Hyam, Emmanuel-Thomas, Ellington, Murphy. Subs: Wright, Whight, Ainsley, Smith, Martin, Chopra, Scotland.

Hull City: Mannone, McShane, Hobbs, Cooper, Dudgeon, Garcia, McKenna, Cairney, Stewart, Brady, Mclean. Subs: Peet, Dawson, Chester, Evans, Olofinjana, Cullen, Simpson.

listening on the radio

2-0 down and both due to poor defending....BUA ! business as usual

there must be something fundamentally wrong at PR in terms of defensive coaching

alex mathie is an ex Town attacker and commenting the match and even he has the ability to analyse the lack of any cohesive defending by the back 4 plus keeper.

until we get this sorted we are League 1 material. Mr Jewell forget players in January, change your defensive coaching team !!

Would of been an opportunity for Jewell to have given Peters a run too and move Edwards into midfield, as he has only given him 1 opportunity too and had been playing well until PJ took over!
With Hull fielding alot of their reserve players you would hope Town would do well against them, at 2-0 down at half time looks unlikely again!
Tick Tock Paul Jewell, you're time is almost up.

Same crap different game. Jewell has lost the dressing room there is obviously no confidence nothing. Can't score goals and can't stop conceding we are going down. JEWELL OUT JEWELL OUT. We are also 60 Million in debt big thanks to the 'ghost Marcus Evans'. Frickin discrace of a football club.

@bluearmy

Can't see how Evans comes in for flack for pumping his money into the Club other than the last 2 appointments who have only been able to slip ITFC down the league and play unattractive football. Oh for Burley or Royal again, they knew how to manage and play attractive football. It may even be Clegg appointed these, pretty sure it is not £60M in debt either, more like £35M. Nice to see Rhodes scoring 5 the other night and upto leading scorer I believe, thanks Keane.

Go to Youtube, as I did today, and type Jordan Rhodes. This young man is the real deal and his success at Huddersfield is astounding.

Maybe this is due to the manager having faith in him !

Buy Rhodes and bring in Lee clark as manager ?
