Town Dismiss Bullard Bust-Up Claim
Town Dismiss Bullard Bust-Up Claim
Wednesday, 7th Dec 2011 12:11

Town have dismissed yesterday’s reports of a bust-up between manager Paul Jewell and midfielder Jimmy Bullard as "complete rubbish". The pair were reported to have fallen out over the latter’s apparent refusal to relocate from his current home in Cobham, Surrey.

A club spokesman said: “Rumours of a bust-up between manager Paul Jewell and Jimmy Bullard are complete rubbish.”

We understand the 33-year-old splits his time between his main home in Cobham, a flat in town and family in Essex, staying at his Ipswich base around games and employing a driver for when he is travelling to and from Surrey.

Hilarious! The club come out and say its a load of tosh and some of you still think theres no smoke without fire! If they deny it, some of you believe there must be a reason and they're covering something up. If they keep quiet, you read that there must be truth in it. Some of you want to believe whatever you want to believe so it doesnt really matter whats said. Probably the same people who moan about a win or lose, old or young players, cheap or expensive. Dont know why some of you bother supporting the club.

JewellintheTown, the problem is there's so much spin around in anything and everything nowadays that people are hesitant to believe these official spokesperson comments, everythings about PR (public relations, not Portman Road) now and a good spin will always come out of a bad situation whether it's government, celeb nonsense or our beloved football club!

A reliable source tells me otherwise, but we will see on saturday if he is in his old form(unless he is on the bench, again)

Well said Bluelady, its nice to see some sanity on this site.It seems some of our fans will believe anything as long as it is bad news.

Well said newboy and bluelady you are right very little of what we read is truth, but can you explain Bullards below par performances? And also we must not believe everything we hear at the press conference, we wont be told everything. Bust ups are common place at football clubs, even sir Bobby had them in his day. Lets face it Bullard is hardly in the matt Holland mould as a pro, i think there is some truth in yesterdays story... COYB

How about falling out over the way he's playing?

bluelady makes a good point about how stories are (probably) fed onto this site gradually. It's not a question of PJ calling up a journo every day for a chat.

Infact, I'm pretty sure that, at the moment, PJ will spend as little time with the press as he can.

whatever the truth is, Jimmy isnt performing, neither is Chopra [we didnt need all his baggage] ,and PJ has my doubts too now,! and yes i WAS pleased to see the three of them join Town, but look at the state of things now !.

Well done bluelady.....my hunch is that there could be an element of truth though since Jimmy has the sort of peronality that pushes the envelope to the extreme which one can get away with if you are successful but not otherwise. Let's hope that he gets his game back to last season's level and we get a few wins...then we'll all be much happier.

I would imagine jimmy is a disruptive character to have around the place (much like gazza but with less ability of course) however he is one of the few remaining characters left in football and great to have around when winning games. This has only become an issue now because we are not!

I'm probably going to sound very stupid, but can anyone tell me why PJ doesn't have a permanent place to live around here. Even Keano moved here.

Cue lots of people calling me stupid .......!!

Anyway blrmy...it wasnt in daily mail and no i dont believe everything in paper. But for papers to be saying stuff they must get it from somewhere. Whether what their sources tell them is true or not is another story. But isnt that the papers job to write stories......

Ericgates. Think his daughter is about gcse age and his son plays competitive golf or something so guess they have ties to his previous location. Darklord moved his young ish kids in summer which i don't think with their ages pj could do. . . . . if he doesn't get fired they might move here next summer . . . .
