Town have been handed a small fine after pleading guilty to the FA charge of failing to control their players during the 7-1 defeat at Peterborough.

The club was accused of “failing to ensure its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion with respect to surrounding the match officials” during the game in which both Lee Martin and Tommy Smith were sent off, the first time the Blues had ever had two players dismissed in the same match.

The rules are the rules - just a shame they are not applied to the bigger clubs like Man Utd and Chelsea! I am sure the club can afford it though - as afterall no activity on transfer deadline day - plus no doubt Martin and Smith received a big fine for being sent off in the first place!

Well whatever the fine and however unfair the FA were to make an example of us when we had suffered enough during the game surly? Thank God that Sky covered that game and were able to shame the Referee for his abysmal performance, otherwise all most people would see was the result. We were pathetic, but the Referee ruined the game with his rash and incorrect decision making, whatever the FA fined us...... the FA suits saw the game on TV just like many others and I'm certain that the Referee was suitably unofficially lambasted.
