Bullard Looking to Get Career Back on Track Thursday, 27th Jan 2011 18:20
New loan signing Jimmy Bullard says he hopes he can get his career back on track after his injury-hit spell at Hull City. Knee injuries have severely hampered the 32-year-old’s time with the Tigers and the midfielder has made just 24 appearances since signing from Fulham for £5 million in January 2009.
Bullard told the club site that he had little hesitation when his former Wigan boss Paul Jewell called him: "The gaffer got on the phone to me and said I'd enjoy it down here and it's a great opportunity for me to come and play at a great club like Ipswich.
"It's a new beginning for me and I'm looking forward to getting some football under my belt. I could never really get going at Hull. The injuries stopped me getting a run going. I have not played in the last few games and the people there said it would be best for me to go and get some football.
"It suited all parties for me to come here. I just want to get back playing and enjoying my football again and hopefully I'll do that here."

Best of luck Jimmy & welcome...hope this works out for both of us...you are the quality this club has lacked in midfield since the Magilton/Holland days.
Fantastic signing! Welcome to PR Jimmy. We may actually score direct from a few free-kicks between now and the end of the season! Please stay off the treatment table! Good luck.
ppt - If JB behaves as you suggest he will, then Hull will be back to paying all his wages, ITFC will cancel his loan! We are in a win win situation with the loan deal!
Really pleased with this loan ,a passing midfielder is what the team has needed for nearly 2 seasons .It also sends a message to Norris and Mac that a contract is there to sign if you dont want it the club will move on and you will be replaced ,good strong management . And to those saying Chuck and Leadbitter wont be happy or cant see where Bullard will fit in ,they havent worked well together in the centre since Leadbitter signed ,it doesnt work (lampard and gerrard ) good players but not together
this bloke looks the business 'he's a natural for sure just don't know at what or when but then neither will the opposition if he can land on his chin like that and still come up smiling then surely we can get up to wherever it is we are going .but who will pay for the gouges in the pitch ?
