Livermore Loan Extended
Monday, 15th Nov 2010 16:05

Tottenham have announced that Jake Livermore's loan has been extended until January 29th.

The midfielder, who celebrated his 21st birthday yesterday, was always expected to remain with the Blues until January, but his initial loan period formally ended on Saturday.

Livermore has made six starts and three sub appearances for the Blues since moving to Portman Road in late September.

He doesnt bring much to the team, always has to take on 1 extra player before passing, personally i dont think extending the loan was necessary but i guess we'll have to see

I wish people would stop harping on about Garvan he just was not good enough despite the numerous chances he was given. He has been very poor at Palace until last week and if you witnessed his perfrormance against us at Selhurst he was woeful. I have to say though that Livermore is not much better and is an expensive luxury. I would have sent him back asap but then Keano knows best !!!!

One of my mates is a season ticket holder at Palace and cannot believe we let him go for £200,000 .As for being to inconsistenet have people not been watching us this season ,and if consistent means playing poorly every week like Leadbitter i would rather take the occassional highlight from Garvan.
Loan players are supposed to strengthen the team like Cleverly,Simpson,Tarabat etc from last season not sit on the bench and cover if we have injuries we may aswell have our kids gain experience from that

Haven't been impressed with him so far I must admit. I know the club have us believe that we are lucky to have him because he is from a premiership club, but he was on loan twice last season at championship clubs, so even by our standards this is not a difficult transfer. Same with Townsend, who I believe was at two league clubs last season.
