QPR Also Eyeing Arsenal Youngster
QPR Also Eyeing Arsenal Youngster
Monday, 15th Nov 2010 13:43

Town reportedly could face opposition from QPR if they are interested in signing Arsenal youngster Jay Emmanuel-Thomas on loan. On Saturday TWTD revealed that the Blues watched the former Blackpool and Doncaster loanee in action as he scored twice for the Gunners’ reserves against Everton last week.

Chief scout Steve McCall is reported to have been the man that saw that match with the Championship’s second-placed side QPR also believed to have been keeping tabs on the 19-year-old.

Boss Roy Keane has repeatedly said that he is eyeing other attacking options, although suggested over the weekend that no immediate moves are likely.

Then if QPR are in for him, we have no chance. Does he fo to a likely Promotion candidate or a mid table side who can't even beat Barnsley??? Hmmmm hard choice kid !!!!

We have about as much chance of signing him as we do going up.

agree whoppit, we have no chance of securing him if QPR are in for him, he wouldn't have relocate to join them for a start, & thats even before we look at table position!! Anyway is ANOTHER loan signing really the answer?.......

I hope this is true, he scored a wonder-goal that was featured on Soccer AM showboat this week. He is a giant with plenty of skill.

PS. WWAhhhh wahh wahh moan bloody moan, this is a positive story with positive connotations but you would have thought we had made a bid to keep hold of Kevin Lisbie by the negative reactions of the miserable few!

We should only look for loanees where they have a reasonable chance of playing. There is a vacancy at RB.

Whoppit, i think it's more the fact that he may well want to stay in London than move out to Ipswich. But Town has got to be a more attractive proposition as a football club than QPR surely!!

Arsene Wenger hates Keane would not trust us with one of his gems

Why would we take him on ???
19 years old (decent player) but we have our own 19 year olds to develope, why would be progress Arsenals kids ??
Murray is looking good and with more exposure will get better, and off course we have Wickham (just needs a run of games) plus he has been picked for the U21's so England must see Wickham as the better of the two!
We should be progressing Wickham and Murray!

It's only a matter of time before people on the forums will say this has something to do with Arsenal being after Wickham, just like it's apparently the reason why Tottenham are being kind to us with two good loanees. All rubbish, though, of course.

Also, weird - I signed this player for Ipswich on FIFA.

this smells of Arsenal being after WIckham - It's ALL Keane's fault

Good player at this level and could be a useful addition, but QPR would be a more tempting option for practical reasons, and he is just as likely to get a game there.

Frankly I think we have enough options in the squad at the minute, particularly in midfield, and I'd rather some of these were utilised better (or moved on) than to simply bring in another short term fix to paper over the increasingly large cracks...

Why are we saying he won't come here? Okay for a start yes QPR are the better side and he could be pushed to the decision towards them BUT why would he go to a club which are already very strong and have a solid starting 11 and bench. REMEMBER he's a youngster who just wants to play first team football not to get promoted for another team where he won't get as much play time. Think about it if he came to town he would most likely get more play time considering how awful we've been playing... Just because QPR are higher in the table doesn't make him not want to come here...

COYB - We really have a sh*te support base now... Really people I know as well Town aren't doing well but if we keep complaining about it and criticizing Keane after every little slip up then we're def going to go down.. You blame him for blaming us as fans but in all fairness he's 100% right you guys aren't true supporters... It takes time to build a solid strong team and we're a club that give managers time. When Keane was at Sunderland they were bottom at x-mas and in the end got automatic qualification. It's only half way and there's tons of time to get back up to where we should be. Keep in faith no matter how sh*te Keane is doing...
