O'Dea in Irish Squad
O'Dea in Irish Squad
Monday, 20th Sep 2010 15:56

Town loanee Darren O’Dea has been named in a preliminary 26-man Republic of Ireland squad for their Euro 2012 qualifiers against Russia and Slovakia next month.

O’Dea, who has previously won two full caps, missed out Ireland’s victories over Armenia and Andorra in their opening two qualifiers due to his knee injury.

Giovanni Trapattoni’s men take on Russia at home on October 8th and Slovakia away on October 12th.

O’Dea is the second Town player to be included in a squad for the international week, Connor Wickham having been named in the England U19s on Friday.

Im starting to think chambersm doesnt know anything about football. O'Dea is a great player, is giving us 100% every game and is willing to put his body on the line for ITFC. Brilliant loan signing would love it to be made into a permanent deal. Sign him up Keano, you know it makes sense!

Not convinced, he can't kick the damn thing....much rather have o Connor. But now need a right back seeing as we got rid of a perfectly good one :s and a perfectly good replacement for him or any centre backs

Chambersm,, what on earth are you talking about. Darren has been brilliant for us and of course we want him permanently. He's been a breath of fresh air around this club and i think he is one of the "characters" keano was looking for and has made a big difference in the changing room. After all, after reading an article a few days back about him kissing his celtic team mate Chris Killen, it couldnt praise him enough for how much of a joker and team builder he was.

Lets face it chambersm, im not much of a keano fan but credit where credit's due and this season he has done very well.

Darren has been a great signing and he has put in a 100% since joining us, more than othere loan signings have in the past. He is always commited and a toatal character in the dressing room. At Celtic he used to always jump in on interviews for Celtic Tv and have the other player being interviewed in fits of laughter. Youtube shows his scuba steve pranks, he is a massive character and will light up our dressing room.

I have doubted Roy in the past but full credit he has done very well and Im fully behind him and not ashamed to admit I was wrong.

Chambers you obviously love the attention your idiotic comments receive, move on for goodness sake, D.Wright has gone, & O'Dea has been a great addition, to say that he "can't kick the damn thing" is just making you look like a cock my friend. Why not turn over a new leaf & start posting something worth reading. I'm sure you'll find that people will soon change their opinions of you if you just put a bit of thought into what you post, coz at the moment you really are a sad & depressing little person who seems to have no life, & I'm hoping a quiet word in your ear will help you see the error of your ways! COME ON CHAMBERS, stop being an outcast & come & join the happy tide of blue!!

Chambers never attends games he just looks at the football manager ratings on his pc and bases his opinion on that.

We are second!
