Cardiff Duo Set to Miss Out
Cardiff Duo Set to Miss Out

Cardiff City will be without former Norwich striker Craig Bellamy and key midfield man Seyi Olofinjana when they take on the Blues this afternoon, according to morning reports in Wales. Bellamy has fluid on a knee injury, while Olofinjana has a foot problem.

Midfielder Danny Drinkwater (thigh) and striker Michael Chopra (ankle) are also out, while frontman Jay Bothroyd will have a fitness test on a calf problem.

Town boss Roy Keane is looking for his side to bounce back to form after the 3-0 defeat to QPR: “Every now and then you get a performance where nobody gets near anywhere near their best and I think we had that the other night.

“As a manager and staff you have to look at that, whether it’s the preparation, the team selection, the team shape. You should always look at it, although sometimes when you get a positive result you seem to forget about it.

“But every decent player will always look at his own performance and I’m sure our lads will be disappointed the other night but looking to bounce back. I’m not going to crucify them, not going to shoot any of them.

“They’re all decent lads and since we came back in July they’ve been absolutely fantastic. We had a disappointment on Tuesday night but they’ll bounce back and hopefully we’ll have a decent season. It’s not the end of the world.”

Hopefully that will give us a better chance against one of the favouites to win this league. Still would have liked to get Chopra here, cant see Scotland getting us many goals unless we go to 4-4-2 as I think Wickham will be the main striker is we play with 3 up front which I dont think is the way to go with Scotland.

Do hope i am proved wrong great start so far last year we were out of the Carling Cup and bottom of the league. well done town

This is a HUGE bonus for us and we have no excuses for anything but a win now. Our defence always look a lot more suspect against pace so for Bellamy to be out is great news.
Let's hope the qpr game was just a blip.

This is great news for town for these players to be out.
Obviously winning is easier said than done.
But to be fair would losing the game be the end of the world. we have played borough burnley qpr portsmouth who would expect be right up there at the end of the season (expect pompey, there buggered) and we have come out on top on the majority of occasions.
After this we play weaker teams there the points will really rackk up!

COYB, we wont have as good a chance to beat Cardiff as we do now. Get a win and the week wont be a disaster.

I'm sorry but a loss would be a disaster with this amount of luck...

Should really be 3 points in the bag.

Dam, I had Bellamy to be sent off today. Looks like he's bottled it.
