Trotter Completes Formalities of Move
Thursday, 24th Jun 2010 16:03

Midfielder Liam Trotter has completed the formalities of his move to Millwall, the south London club has announced. Trotter, 21, agreed to join his former loan club permanently earlier this month with his Town terms coming to an end on June 30th.

Despite Trotter being out of contract, the Blues will receive an undisclosed fee which was agreed when the 2005 FA Youth Cup winner joined the Lions on loan in January.

The one-time Bury Town youngster has signed a two-year deal at the Den.

Just Garvan left of the cup winning youths. And he'll probably be gone by the end of the summer.

Good luck, Liam; it's a shame it didn't work out here.

Always showed potential but unfortunatly only showed it consistently once, then he was stopped in his track by a certain Pedro Mendes and referee. Since then to be fair he's not been the same player and not the type of player that would have got us promoted. Thanks for everything you gave to us Liam and best of luck at your new club (just not against us).

Good luck for the future to Liam. It's nice to see a deal going through, even if it is out rather than in!

Good luck to him but he really wouldn't have got many games for us next season. Can't complain at not keeping him on as it was his choice to leave and probably the best option for all the parties involved.

@tractorboybig why don't you fook off and support someone else. It is obvious by your continuing whining you really dislike this club...so pi$$ off we don't want you....And take those other whiners with you!

As for the actual story goodbye and thanks to Liam....think this move is best for both parties....

i'm sorry - Walters one of best players - christ what games were your watching, he runs around alot but apart from that he does nothing, granted early in the season scored a few goals but apart from that nothign, brings nothing to the team, slows play down and if you want promotion he won't get it for you.

I used to watch a lot of reserve and youth games as well as the first team games and am a big fan of Trotter. He will be a good player its a shame he wont be with us.

I have always been pro Walters, but honestly think his best days are behind him at the level,We are going to have to fight really hard to get promoted and i think its too much for him now.

Superflude your list of players were all players that hardly featured last season Walters apart in our worst finish for a long time , they featured heavily the previous two seasons in which we finished just outside the playoffs both years .
Your list should contain Healy, Priskin,Martin,Edwards ,Bruce who were all signed by Keane and have been more dead wood than anyone .(And Bruce was out of contract so was re signed by Keane ) Stead and Garvan both played regularly in our only good spell of the season well worth another go in my opinion . As for Trotter he should not have been offered a deal last season when his contract ran out not upto it but good luck anyway Liam
