QPR Linked With Priskin Move
QPR Linked With Priskin Move
Wednesday, 27th Jan 2010 15:30

QPR are reported to have made a loan bid for Town striker Tamás Priskin. Rangers are looking for a new striker having loaned Patrick Agyemang to Bristol City.

According to reports in London, the club currently managed by Mick Harford want the Hungarian on loan with a view to a permanent deal in the summer.

Priskin turned down a loan move to Charlton earlier this month with Town boss Roy Keane admitting that he considers any offers that come in for his players: “If someone picks up the phone next week, not just about Tamás but about any of the players, we’ll have a look at it, just as we did about Colin Healy. We look at situations and ultimately it comes down the player.”

Priskin himself recently told the Hungarian press that he has no plans to leave the Blues after reports claimed that he would be sold in January in order to bring in new signings: "I’ve only seen this in the press and if it’s up to me, I'm not going anywhere.”

The 23-year-old joined the Blues from Watford for £1.7 million in the summer but has so far failed to make an impact, netting twice in nine starts and eight sub appearances.

Meanwhile, Tottenham have confirmed that former Town loanee Giovani Dos Santos has joined Galatasaray on loan for the rest of the season.

I would let him go out on loan - maybe theres more to it than we think - maybe he doesn't like the Keane work ethic?

Loan him only if they are interested in buying, he will do better for them than he has for us.

Let him go on loan, he needs games to gain confidence. I believe he is better than he's showing at the moment. As long as we get a replacement. Surely we should be picking the bones of Palace and maybe Notts County (Lee Hughes anyone!)

I thought Priskin played well yesterday when he came on . he played better then pablo , last 3 games pablo has been playing poor but scored 2 so what do u do.

I dnt want to see Priskin go out onloan , i think he can still offer us something. He made himself agood chance and put one on a plate for edwards. give him time.

Only loan him out if were gunna loan someone eles in whos better.

He didn't play well when he came on. He missed a sitter last night which would have buried the game. He also tried shielding the ball in the corner but gave it up far too easily which led to the goal. I don't agree with loaning him out but selling him would be better

For heavens sake don't loan him to a competitor - I stll say he will come good if given the chance.

For all of u who critisise priskin ok now iv seen a few watford games n followed them as my 2nd team behind town of course but he's a player who plays extremely well in a team who plays well he will put the ball away 9 times out of 10 if the service is right with a dominating team and with ipswich and watford...not teams who dominate others all the time and with qpr heading for the playoffs...he could do with a move there, also if he ain't a goalscorer why would a side fighting for the top 6 be after someone who's only scored 2 goals all season n is a "waste of 1.7mill" as a lot of u priskin haters say but I agree with the ones who say get a striker in before letting him go on loan I wouldn't want him 2 go permanently he's still young. Kevin phillips on loan? Daniel sturridge? Ben sahar? Scott sinclair?

I think Priskin should be given a fair crack, last night when he came on,he showed glimpses of being a good plaer, cnfidence is all he needs. and would people who phone radio sfok about the matches, please sometimes actually cme to the match befre you start criticizing plaers from what you have heard from the rado. if an one should go out on loan i hink it should be Pablo, very lazy last night. possibly give lee martin a go up front, and use his pace.

i thought he looked quite sharp when he came on last night. That "one on one" was not a "sitter" at all. He wasn't exactly going to shine once the team started letting wb come forward at them, wave after wave.
And mickeyjb, as for Lee H****s, he can **** right off. What a piece of scum. There I said it.

Let him go ASAP. No point having failiures around the place. He hasn't worked out. Lets save the wages at least.

Simple solution to our striker problem...Pablo's been scoring when he comes off the bench, Priskin looks like he needs more time than the odd 20 minutes at the end of a game to make an impact.

Start with Stead and Priskin, and bring Pablo off the bench...

half you lot on here were crying out for signing a striker, but now your ok with letting one go? we need to keep him, wether he played well or not is a matter of opinion, and tbh i thought he did well, yes he missed a 1vs1, but he made that chance basicly, did well to turn defender and it was a good save by a former england keeper, also his shielding wasnt great but as 1 up front he did work better than usual, i think him n stead would be good given a chance

I really don't know what to say about Priskin - he hasn't exactly started and finished many games. I missed Reading away so can't comment on that. He did okay last night - but nothing outstanding - perhaps should have scored.

He looks like a player lacking confidence and form. Maybe a loan move would do him good? As long as he doesn't play against us!

If we do loan him out it needs to be on the proviso we can sign a striker ourselves!

Loan him to get games with two clauses

1) Call him back at any time
2) Cannot play against us at Loftus Road

i watched qpr get raped 5-0 by forest last night. for all forest played fantastically, qpr were poor, and would benefit from someone like tamas. perhaps they could be good for each other and he will come back a better player!

Reading some comments on here is quite hilarious.. going along with what i was hearing after the game on Radio Suffolk aswell that people were blaming Priskin for us not winning the game. In the 12 minutes Priskin was on he looked more lively than Stead & Pablo did, people are moaning that he missed the chance that he created all by himself. If Keane would have given him a run in the teeam to gain confidence (because strikers thrive on confidence) & had he have banged in 3-4 previous that would have gone in.

Give the lad a chance, he will come good. He has only previous come off the bench when we were losing games earlier in the season. Give him a go now that the team are performing well & see what he can offer us. 12 minutes here & there isn't fair to the lad. COYB!!
