Pim Makes Brentford Debut Saturday, 21st Nov 2009 22:11 On-loan defender Pim Balkestein made his Brentford debut as the Bees drew 1-1 at home to Walsall. The Dutchman is at Griffin Park for a month. The former Heerenveen man says he had options other than Brentford but had been impressed with the League One side when Town faced the Londoners in the summer: "I was out for three months at Ipswich. There were some clubs in for me, I want to play regular football. "We played Brentford in a pre-season friendly and I really liked them. I think it's a good move. "I'm only here for a month then we will see what's happening at Ipswich - if they still want me, if other clubs are in for me. "I got my fitness in the reserves but this is a better level than the reserve team, it's more pressure. "I'm still young and I have to have more experience as well. "I think we played very well first half. If we had made it 2-0 maybe it would have been different but 1-1 is not a bad result against a decent team. "Their goal was not a lack of concentration, things happen in games - we have to learn from it." Elsewhere, Kevin Lisbie was subbed on 57 as Colchester drew 2-2 at Oldham, U's manager Aidy Boothroyd sacrificing the Town striker after Marc Tierney was sent off. The Blues plan to recall Lisbie from his season-long loan early in January. Defender Jack Ainsley was left out of the Rushden and Diamonds squad as they won 3-1 at Salisbury and is yet to make an appearance for the Blue Square Premier side. Ainsley is on loan at Nene Park until January.
