But if the canaries are not seeded they will die before the 2nd round. Legoman is back.

Not wishing to sound stupid (and yes I could probably google it - but suspect there maybe many like me out there - I hope). What does "seeded" actually mean in footballing terms??? Is there any actual benefit to it... Can anyone explain the whole seeded thing to help broaden my mind - or should i just google it?

It means you won't be drawn against another seeded team. Thereby avoiding a Prem club. Simples.

It just means that none of the 'seeded' teams will play each other. So all the 'seeded' teams will be in one pop and the 'unseeded' in another. Just to try and get the 'better' clubs through to the next round. We will only be seeded for this round and then teams like United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool etc will all be seeded.

I would love to draw Norwich, but then again I wouldn't mind seeing them come up against Arsenal's youngsters in the next round! ;)

To be honest the unseeded sides look dire. We could thrash any of them. It would be great to have Norwich at home, the North stand woulkd be electric.

The story above says that was our first penalty win in 18 years..didn't we knock Blackburn out of the cup on pens in 1996?
