Town manager Roy Keane has revealed that the Blues have accepted an offer for one of their strikers. Kevin Lisbie was a notable absentee from last night's side which beat Southend 2-0, having been expected to play against the Shrimpers.

Keane said: "We have accepted an offer for one of our strikers and I will speak with him in the morning.

"We will give permission for the player to speak, but that doesn't mean a deal is done or anything like that.

"We have to wheel and deal like everyone else and there may even be a few more offers to come.”

Lisbie has been tipped to leave the club all summer, saying early on in Keane's time as boss that he didn't want to move from London to Suffolk as the new boss has asked his players to do.

The former Colchester man was recently linked with a move back to his old club after one season with the Blues in which he failed to replicate his scoring form for the U's.

Swansea are also rumoured to be interested in Lisbie, while Spanish frontman Pablo Couñago, who has missed all of pre-season due to a groin injury, has also been claimed to be a Swans target this summer.

Couñago, along with Ben Thatcher, has been pencilled in for tonight's friendly at Clacton (KO 7.45pm), while Lisbie could also be involved.
