Boss Roy Keane said he enjoyed Town's 3-1 victory over Brentford at Griffin Park on Wednesday evening. The Blues manager once again praised his players' attitude.

Keane told the club site: "I really enjoyed it and it was a very good workout for us. These games are priceless in terms of pre-season and getting time on the pitch for the players.

"We won't over-analyse the game. There were parts we know we have to improve on, but again the players' attitude was spot on.

"We could have had more goals, but to be fair to Brentford they had chances as well. When you look at the age of our scorers, with Connor only 16 and Jordan a teenager as well and Lee only 22, that's encouraging for the future.

"These games are all about trying different players, different partnerships and, like I said, I really enjoyed it."

Brentford boss Andy Scott was similarly pleased with his team: "I thought we were excellent against a good side. We kept our lads on for a bit longer than Roy's boys and it was a good workout.

"I saw some excellent stuff and I'm very, very pleased. I thought we did well, we looked comfortable on the ball and it was much better."

The Blues are next in action on Friday at Waterford United with the Irish club announcing earlier today that the game has sold out.
