Ipswich Wanderers suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of international side Antigua and Barbuda at Humber Doucy Lane on Saturday afternoon.

The team ranked 127th in the world by FIFA scored the opener five minutes before the break after slack defending from Wanderers left a free man at the back post to volley in.

Both sides created good chances during the second half with Bradley Barber coming closest for Wanderers after a good cross from the wing.

The visitors, currently being coached by former Town assistant manager Willie Donachie, scored their second on the hour mark when a good first touch was followed by an equally good finish from an Antigua forward.

Former Town centre-backs Allan Hunter and Kevin Beattie were both present, with Beattie donating a signed 1978 FA Cup Winners shirt to the raffle. Also in attendance were former Blues Titus Bramble and Ashley Nicholls.

Ipswich Wanderers: Hammond, Symonds, Haynes-Brown, Jennings, Smy, Hyam, Mills, Buckle, Grimwood, McGlone and Barber. Subs: Driver, Culf, Laws, Dublin and Farrell.

Antigua and Barbuda Squad: Joseph, Gonsalves, Carr, Brian, Tyio Simon, Julian, Cochrane, Troy Simon, Skepple, Gregory, Byers, James, Brown, Mack, Mellanson, Thomas, Burton and Williams.
