No Ban for Jim
No Ban for Jim

Boss Jim Magilton has been fined but not banned from the touchline by the FA at today's disciplinary hearing. The Town manager was charged with using abusive and/or insulting words towards referee Colin Webster after the 2-2 draw at Burnley, a breach of FA rule E3.

Magilton told the club site: "I had a fair hearing from the panel and I think they were sympathetic to the situation.

"It wasn't a case of appealing over the charge, I wanted a personal hearing to present the facts surrounding it and I was given the opportunity to do that.

"It was clearly a goal and would have given us three big points and given the players a big boost as well, but it's in the past now and we move on."

Last season, the Town boss was given a two-match touchline ban and fined £500 for a similar offence after being sent to the stands by referee Mark Clattenburg at Preston North End.
