Krause Joining Carlisle Tuesday, 21st Nov 2006 16:55 Defender James Krause is joining Carlisle United on a two-month loan with the Cumbrians keen to sign him on a permanent basis if he impresses at Brunton Park. Krause, 19, signed a one-year professional deal with Town in June Carlisle boss Neil McDonald says Krause did well in his recent trial spell: “He had a couple of days training with us last week and I was impressed, so we're now going to take him for two months and see what happens. “He's very quick and strong and decent on the ball. We're short of left-sided players and we're going to have to be careful because Ziggy [Aranalde] and Peter [Murphy] are both on four bookings.” Krause, a member of the FA Youth Cup-winning side, was recommended to McDonald by former Town chief scout Colin Suggett, who is now in a similar job at Brunton Park. The left-back or central defender is yet to make a senior appearance but was on the bench for the final game of last season at Plymouth Argyle.
