Owen Garvan played the full 90 minutes as Town's reserves beat Northampton 1-0 at Sixfields this afternoon. A Tom Bonner own goal in the 72nd minute gave the Blues their victory.

The watching Jim Magilton will have been impressed with Garvan, who was superb throughout. Academy midfielder Jai Reason, who was in the Town manager's thoughts for a call-up to the first team squad earlier in the season, was also outstanding.

Reserves: Drobný, Sito, Synnott, Krause, Barron, Garvan, Reason, Moore, Fenn (Smith 67), Leabon, Knights. Unused: Plummer, Short, C Williams, Nimmo. Att: 163.
