Some cold hard truths tonight. 23:21 - Feb 20 with 797 viewshomer_123

From the very first minute we looked nervous and rattled.

Individually so many players tonight not even had their B game on show.

Sloppy passing, shocking decision making. (WTAF was Hladky thinking?!).

Defenders trying to chip pass?!

A very out of character game that we never ever looked in control of.

Yet, 3 points, four goals that contained a Burns header, the scrappiest goal scored under KM and a goal created by a sublime pass.

It was horrible to watch...in a way.....very old skool Town.

But as we know...this lot don't stop...ever...fair play to dig a win out of that tonight.

Those kind of matches are no good for my blood pressure.

Not vintage by any stretch but it’s a results business innit, especially at this stage of the season. Put it behind us, take the win and hopefully serve up something better on Saturday against a tougher nut in Brum.

Absolutely...the result was critical. Had we lost or even drawn tonight with that performance and seeing Soton loose could have been disastrous.

But we're third on 69!

69 points from 33 games, it’s an incredible return to be fair.

Need to make sure we’re sat on 72 come 5pm Saturday, guaranteeing us at worst being joint 2nd and potentially in outright 2nd with 12 to play.

Not sure they learnt anything new tonight. Even that they can't afford to not be at their best even against the worst team in the division will have been known to them.

Bad, bad night performance wise, but we got away with it and I can't imagine them allowing themselves to be as dreadful as that against Birmingham.

We have a fantastic opportunity to pick up lots of points in the coming games, this will merely be a reminder that they can't afford to let up if they're going to get those.
