Was it Bill Shankly 06:36 - Feb 12 with 271 views | LegendofthePhoenix | that said winning teams are built form the back? Now the way we play is great to watch, but it just isn't built from a defensively solid base. Is that just old fashioned? Going forwards we have overlapping fullbacks and wingers, and a great front line. The back line can play slick passing football, and we always look like we can score. But when we lose possession, and the opposition start pumping balls into our box, time and again we take the sucker punch. Kieran McKenna's way of playing no doubt will suit the top 2 divisions, but has he jumped too soon, and should he have placed more emphasis on being solid at the back to get out of L1?

Was it Bill Shankly on 08:14 - Feb 12 with 187 views | ArnieM | If Liverpool ( in that day snd watched them plenty of times), scored just one goal against you , it was game over. They knew how to defend a lead . Currently Town Can’t defend a game that is level Can’t see a game out ( no matter how many goals we get (Charlton!). I’ve lost count of the number of games we have gone on to lose from winning positions or lose from a drawing position usually to an opponents only attack in the game. That really should be even talked about with s team supposedly nailed on promotion contenders. Our defence / defenders are farcical!
