p.s. my Christmas food order for the family didn't turn up yesterday  so I had to run around like a blue bottomed fly for a few hours today attempting to source replacements. I did manage to find a turkey eventually, though it was the only one left in the shop and looked like it had been a punch bag in a previous life . I was extremely annoyed, but then discovered that our neighbour (round the corner 4 doors away, that I used to speak to regularly when walking his dog) had died of a heart attack yesterday morning at home (he was in his early 50's) and I immediately realised what a tit I was being annoyed about a bit of meat and now feel most humble and grateful for simply breathing and being able to celebrate a wonderful time of year with my family! |  |
