Remember people going mad about an almost identical finish nearly 20 years ago from Finidi, yet this one hardly gets a mention. therefore was it a great finish or was Finidi's overrated?

No way was it identical! Finidi's was much further out and came at the end of a brilliant bit if play, in the Prem
Indeed. The buildup was stunning and could well have been goal of the season even if Finidi had just beaten the keeper in a standard one-on-one.
The slow, arcing lob from out wide just made it a perfect finish to a great team goal.
Having said that, it was a great, calm finish by Norwood. And it was probably the hardest chance he had. Not sure why he panics so much and tries to blast everything else.

If I remember rightly Finidi had no left back as the guy had been sent off.....highly overrated
That was vs Derby earlier in the season.
Finidi's record was nowhere near as bad as people would have it, much as overall we undoubtedly went too far in destabilising a very effective, coherent group of players.

Many forget the form he was/ we were in before he left for the African Cup....had he not left for that and stayed with us....who knows.
